Who we are

The service

RepoVid is a command-line tool that generates narrated videos and a guide page for a web application you run. It works with the AI tool or API key you choose, under your own account with that provider.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub or Google. Each person gets one free run: one demo video, or up to three walkthrough videos. Please don’t create extra accounts to get more.

Payment

A licence is a one-time payment of $5 that gives your account unlimited local videos, for as long as RepoVid is offered. Hosting plans are billed yearly and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices exclude VAT and similar taxes, which are added at checkout based on your address where they apply. See our refund policy.

Your projects and videos

Your code and videos stay yours. Only use RepoVid on projects you’re allowed to run, with test accounts and demo data, never real credentials or personal data. You’re responsible for reviewing every video before you share it.

Published guides

When you publish, we host your videos and guide text. Anyone with the link can view them, so links aren’t suitable for confidential content. You confirm you have the right to publish everything in them. Plans limit projects, videos per project and storage. When a plan ends or is refunded, its guides go offline and we may delete them. You can delete videos, versions or projects at any time in your dashboard.

Acceptable use

Don’t use RepoVid to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, publish personal data without permission, deceive people or spread malware, and don’t try to get around its licence checks. We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules. To report a guide, use the link on its page or email us.

No guarantee

RepoVid depends on your app, your machine and your AI provider, so it won’t work on every project. It’s provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
