Make your first video in Claude Code or Codex

No code and no terminal. If you can paste a message, you can do this.

1. Open your assistant in a folder

Use the Claude desktop app with a paid plan, which includes Claude Code, or Codex with a ChatGPT plan. Choose your app’s folder, or a new empty folder if your app is on a website.

2. Paste this message

Make a demo video of my app with RepoVid. I'm not technical, so run every command yourself. First run npx repovid@latest init in this folder, then follow .claude/skills/repovid/SKILL.md (or .agents/skills/repovid/SKILL.md).

Allow it when your assistant asks permission to run something.

3. Give it your app’s link

Your assistant does the rest. Your browser opens once so you can sign in with GitHub or Google, and your first video is free. If your app needs a login, it’ll ask you to make a demo account.

4. Watch and share

Your videos open in your browser. Watch them first, in case something private is on screen. To get a link to share, ask your assistant to publish them.

Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You chat with your AI assistant in plain words, and it does the technical part.

My app was made with Lovable, Bolt or something similar. Does it work?

Yes. Give your assistant the app's address. It'll ask you to make a demo account, and a private page on your computer lets you enter that login, so the password never goes into the chat.

What does it cost?

Your first run is free. Unlimited videos are $5, once. A link you can share starts at $12 a year. VAT or tax is added at checkout where it applies. You pay on a secure Stripe page, and your assistant opens it for you.

What does your assistant need?

A Claude or ChatGPT plan that includes Claude Code or Codex, under your own account. RepoVid never sees that login.

The assistant says Node.js is missing.

Install the LTS version from nodejs.org like any other app, restart your assistant, and send the message again.
